Baked tortellini casserole with savory Italian sausage. Served with sides of Caesar salad and a loaf of fresh baked garlic bread.
- 1 pan casserole
- 1 bag salad and lemon
- 1 bag cheese
- 1 bag croutons
- 1 container dressing
- 1 container butter
- 1 loaf of bread
- Let the casserole sit out at room temperature for an hour before cooking to lessen cooking time if you like. Preheat oven to 375. Once up to temperature, put covered pan into oven. Bake for 25 minutes for 2 person meal, 35 minutes for 4 person meal then uncover and bake another 15-30 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. Ovens vary wildly, if your casserole browns too quickly but is not up to temperature, you can put the lid back on, if you want any additional caramelization, you can place the pan under a broiler for a minute or two watching closely not to burn. Let rest 10-15 minutes before cutting.
- Put as much dressing as desired on romaine wedges, sprinkle with cheese and croutons, garnish with lemon.
- Heat bread in oven for last 10-15 or so minutes of cooking time to warm through, cut and butter.
